HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (AUG., 2017) The inaugural 2017
Vans BMX Pro Cup World Championships closed out a
remarkable series finale today as Larry Edgar was
crowned Vans BMX Pro Cup World Champion. His critical
second place finish bumped up his overall rankings to edge
out former leader Sergio Layos to take the victory. Anni-
hilating the custom-spec cement park course in Huntington
Beach as part of the Vans US Open, Edgar’s show-
stopping airs and effortless technical style has surpassed
the world’s best BMX park riders, earning him the coveted
World Championship title in addition to the crowd favorite
Big Air Award. In an exciting women’s competition, 15-year
old Michigan-native Hannah Roberts raised the bar of
women’s BMX riding with her charging style and back-to-
back trick selection, taking home the women’s Vans BMX
Pro Cup first place title. In second place, Chile’s Macarena
Perez awed the crowd with her huge airs and high-speed
lines. Ruling the park with strong riding and a unique
fastplant transfer, Las Vegas’ Nikki Wetzel took the women’s
Best Trick award and joined Roberts and Perez on the
podium in third.

LOS ANGELES, CA (OCT., 2017) Executive produced by
Stephen Spielberg, the film tells the story of “Oscar,” who
was three years old at the time of the Dos Erres massacre,
during which Guatemalan government-led forces destroyed
a small indigenous village and killed off almost all of the
Villagers. The massacre was particularly brutal, and went
un-investigated until one of the soldiers involved, unable to
keep secret any longer, told the story of the atrocities
committed during the several days that the killings occurred.
Oscar was spared, in part because of his striking looks —
his pale skin and green eyes were prized features. He was
carried off by one of the soldiers responsible for the mass-
acre that killed Oscar’s family, and raised by the soldier’s
family. Oscar was too young to remember what went on
that day. He grew up thinking that the man who was raising
him was his father. More than 30 years after the events of
that day, Oscar would be approached by people looking into
the Dos Erres massacre, with the idea of bringing the per-
petrators to justice. The man who had raised Oscar had
died years before. The young man, now living in the United
States, was suddenly confronted with the truth that nothing
he thought he knew about his family was true. The man he
thought of as his father was a criminal.
LOS ANGELES, CA (OCT., 2017) It was 2009, Michael,
Allen and Ray were walking around Flushing, Queens.
They had just returned from a trip to Taiwan and were
looking for their favorite childhood drink: bubble tea. After
some searching, they found a tea place, ordered, and sat
down to discuss some of their new business ideas.
Meanwhile, they sipped at their teas and immediately put
their drinks down. They were confused, this was not the
bubble tea they had come to love in Taiwan. It was a
mediocre knockoff at best. As they looked around they saw
a long line full of thirsty customers. They looked up at each
other, that’s when Michael, Allen and Ray realized that they
had just found their new business venture.
It is our dream to introduce the Kung Fu Tea brand to con-
sumers all around the world, as well as creating a more re-
fined bubble tea culture. For this reason, we are looking for
business partners who might be interested in joining us.
With your help, we hope to expand our market even further.
We are thrilled to announce that we will be opening in

LOS ANGELES, CA (OCT., 2017) Hollywood star Hedy
Lamarr (ZIEGFELD GIRL, SAMSON AND DELILAH) was
known as the world’s most beautiful woman – Snow
White and Cat Woman were both based on her iconic look.
However, her arresting looks and glamorous life stood in
the way of her being given the credit she deserved as an
ingenious inventor whose pioneering work helped re-
volutionize modern communication. Mislabeled as “just
another pretty face,” Hedy’s true legacy is that of a
technological trailblazer. She was an Austrian Jewish
emigre who invented a covert communication system to
try and help defeat the Nazis, then gave her patent to
the Navy, but was ignored and told to sell kisses for war
bonds instead. It was only towards the very end of her
life that tech pioneers discovered her concept which is
now used as the basis for secure WiFi, GPS and Blue-
tooth. Hedy never publicly talked about her life as an
inventor and so her family thought her story died when
she did. But in 2016, director Alexandra Dean and pro-
ducer Adam Haggiag unearthed four never-before-heard
audio tapes of Hedy speaking on the record about her

Together with British programmer Amir Taaki, they
founded Dark Wallet, a Bitcoin app that allows its users
to “go dark.” But Dark Wallet was more than an app, it
was a way of expressing their ideals valuing human
freedoms over controlling governments. For crypto-

challenging economic structures are the best way to
hold truth to power. But taking on the government means
you don’t always get to go home.
In this observational diptych, Adam Lough glimpses
a rarified world, filled with embittered young people born
into a dreamless, corporatized, and deeply politicized
generation, where the only real resistance is at their
fingertips—the internet. The new radicals revel in
questioning every paradigm, from gun control to encryption,
even if it means incarceration. Yet the question remains:
Are they freedom fighters or criminals? This captivating
encounter examines how a distinct group came about ..
